This course provided a comprehensive overview and practical laboratory experience of the genetic manipulation
of ES cells for a broad range of applications. Attendees were in the main postdoctoral scientists and senior P
hD students actively engaged in research. The course covered a range of topics including recent advances in
genome informatics, BAC recombineering, transposon technology and conditional gene targeting.
